This training aims to provide our general education teachers and staff with a comprehensive understanding of the process involved in getting a student on an IEP, along with the associated timeline. We will cover a range of topics, including general education interventions, the RTI process, the differences between a 504 and IEP, the referral and evaluation process, eligibility determination, goal creation for IEPs, transition information, accommodations versus modifications, grading for special education students, academic concerns, ESY versus Summer School, behavioral documentation, and the role of paraeducators.
