Students lack motivation to work overall, some of which comes from being stuck in a fixed mindset ("I have learned all I can and don't need to continue to learn", or "I Already know everything I need to"), and I want to motivate students into embracing a growth mindset (changing our statements from "I can't do this" to "I can't do this yet"). This rubs off from teachers and their attitudes or demeanors coming into work. We all have personal things going on outside of the schools, but how can we change our thinking? Changing our mindsets benefits our students and makes for more fun and engaging work time. This will lead into Critical Thinking more often and Higher Order thinking. "Change Your Words, Change Your Mindset, Change Your Thinking" will make a more enjoyable workplace for both staff and students.
